About LifePort
In 1990, LifePort began operations as the corporation’s original division. LifePort was established to develop a better way to transport medical patients inside aircraft that were not designed for such – the LifePort PLUS (Patient Loading Utility System), is today sold as the by-product of that development effort. LifePort’s specialty began with multi-mission medevac interiors for small and mid-size fixed wing aircraft. Soon after the establishment of the PLUS as the industry standard for multi-mission aircraft, LifePort’s product line began to spread into additional segments of the aviation industry.
Today, LifePort’s diverse product line is seen in-service with small multi-mission turbo prop aircraft as well as large dedicated repatriation jets; from standard helicopter medevac programs, to those operating in the world’s most forbidding environments. LifePort’s products are being utilized in all corners of the world for a wide variety of missions.
LifePort maintains an EASA recognized FAA Repair Station Certificate and a Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA). Our engineering and research and development departments have completed over 70 individual Supplemental Type Certificates (STC), and numerous foreign approvals. It is this experience that ensures our business will continue to expand with the addition of new products.
To maintain our approvals and manufacture our systems, LifePort employs some of the highest quality aviation personnel found in the industry. Our staff includes pedigreed aviation engineers, manufacturing technicians, aircraft and power plant (A&P) mechanics, inspectors of aircraft (IA), and designated manufacturing inspection representatives (DMIR) – all of who function as an integral team to deliver some of the highest quality aviation interior components available in the world. |
